WaterView presents AI for managing climate and industrial risks at Intersec Dubai

Latest from WaterView

January 27, 2026

WaterView’s participation at Intersec Dubai (January 12-14, 2026), one of the most important international events dedicated to technologies and solutions for safety, security, and fire protection in workplaces, public spaces and infrastructure, concluded successfully. For us at WaterView, the 2026 edition marked a fundamental step: our official debut at an event that is the privileged gateway to Middle East and Asian markets.

Hosted within the stand of Axis Communications, of which we are a Technology Integration Partner, we had the opportunity to demonstrate how computer vision can transform cameras into intelligent sensors for the climate resilience of urban spaces and transport infrastructure, as well as for the safety and efficiency of industrial production.

Our presence in Dubai, integrated into the Axis Communications ecosystem, underscores the modularity and scalability of our solutions, which allow us to respond to unique challenges: from cities that must manage extreme and sudden weather events, to the protection of large industrial plants and critical infrastructure for energy production and transport.

CliCK, ShoCK, and CheCK

During the three days of the exhibition, we presented the entire range of our AI analytics families, each designed to meet specific monitoring needs:

  • CliCK: Our suite dedicated to monitoring weather and climate parameters, from visibility estimation to flood detection, from fire monitoring to monitoring level variations in waterways.
  • ShoCK: Our family of video analysis functions for safety in workplaces (construction sites, industrial sites, critical infrastructures) which allows for monitoring the correct use of personal protective equipment, detecting the presence of liquid leaks, or intercepting the ignition of potentially dangerous smoke and flames, using cameras already present on site.
  • CheCK: The line dedicated to controlling the visual quality of images collected by cameras in a video surveillance circuit, to ensure the reliability of the results of other video analysis functions, and to simplify the management and maintenance of even the largest networks.

The outliers: monitoring of floods and liquid leaks

The public feedback was very positive, with particularly marked interest in two vertical applications that respond to urgent needs of the global market:

1. Urban Flood Prevention

In a context of climate change that brings torrential rains even to desert or densely urbanized areas, WaterView’s ability to detect water accumulation in real-time through existing video surveillance cameras was perceived as a "game changer." Municipalities and road infrastructure managers have seen our analytics as a fundamental tool for activating early warnings and protecting citizens.

2. Leak Control in the Industrial Sector

Plant safety and the prevention of environmental damage are absolute priorities, especially in the Energy and Manufacturing sectors and for all HSE departments. The solutions presented for the timely detection of liquid leaks (even small ones or in difficult-to-monitor areas) attracted the attention of numerous industrial operators interested in reducing operational risks and maintenance costs.

Looking to the Future

Intersec Dubai was not just a showcase, but the beginning of a new chapter. The interest received confirms that the path of Visual Intelligence applied to sustainability and security is the right one. We return from this experience with new contacts, new ideas, and the awareness that WaterView technology has a crucial role to play in protecting our planet and its productive activities.
