WaterView had the privilege of joining the Axis Demo Show 2025 in Warsaw, held on September 5th, 2025 in the historic setting of the Modlin Fortress, as an official Technology Integration Partner of Axis Communications. The event gathered Axis’ Polish end customers and partners for an exploration of cutting-edge, camera-based technologies for the security, monitoring, and smart infrastructure management markets.
As part of the showcase, WaterView presented its portfolio of visual AI solutions, demonstrating how the power of computer vision can extend the value of existing CCTV networks and in-vehicle cameras—transforming them into tools for environmental intelligence and infrastructure management.
Unlocking environmental insights with CCTV and CliCK
During the event, WaterView illustrated how standard surveillance cameras can be enhanced through CliCK, its family of proprietary AI algorithms to monitor weather and environmental conditions in real time. From detecting precipitation severity and visibility reduction to identifying flooded or snow-covered roads and smoke plumes, CCTV networks can evolve from purely security-focused systems into multifunctional sensing platforms.
This approach attracted significant interest from the Polish audience, particularly in sectors where environmental data plays a key role: transportation, public safety, and smart city planning. By leveraging existing surveillance infrastructures or installing smart cameras with computational power onboard, like Axis ones, organizations can gain actionable intelligence without deploying additional sensor networks.
A better road asset management with TraCK
WaterView also showcased its Transport Camera Kit (TraCK), a compact hardware solution designed to transform any vehicle into a mobile monitoring platform. TraCK integrates up to 4 onboard cameras (like Axis dome ones) with an edge AI unit hosted in a robust, IP55 metal case that can be easily mounted on a vehicle top, to automatically detect:
- Road surface anomalies such as potholes, cracks and uneven pavements.
- Traffic sign conditions, including missing, obscured or deteriorated signage.
- Vegetation encroachment affecting visibility or roadway safety.
By continuously analyzing visual data during normal vehicle operations, TraCK enables road authorities and operators to reduce inspection costs, shorten response times, and prioritize maintenance efforts based on objective, real-time evidence.
A strong partnership for innovation
As an Axis Technology Integration Partner, WaterView’s participation at the Poland Demo Show 2025 underscored the synergies between camera manufacturers and AI solution providers. Together, these technologies pave the way for smarter, more sustainable management of both urban environment and critical infrastructures — where every camera can serve as both a security device and a sensor for environmental and operational intelligence.
But the Warsaw September event was only an anticipation of more to come: we look forward to meeting you in Malmö during the Axis A&E VIP Event 2025 (October 20-22, 2025) and in Barcelona, during the Smart city Expo World Congress (November 4-6, 2025)!
